Authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines when submitting abstracts:
- Language: All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English during the Congress.
- Originality: Submitted abstracts must be original work. Abstracts that have been previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting are not eligible for submission.
- Review Process: Abstracts will undergo a thorough review by a panel of experts. Selection for oral or poster presentation will be based on merit.
- Presentation Preference: Authors should indicate their preference for either a poster or an oral presentation.
Video Abstracts
Abstracts for video presentations should be submitted as text via the online submission form. Videos should be sent to info@biargs2024.co.uk as a shared link. You can use any large video transfer service available online.

Video Format and Duration:
- Video duration should not exceed 10 minutes.
- Audio will not be available onsite, so subtitles should be added if necessary.
- The video should begin with the author's name, video title, institution name, and contact details. The final slide should include conclusions and acknowledgments.
- The author's name and video title should be visible on each frame.
- Save the file with your first and last name, followed by your abstract number (e.g. John Smith, Abstract#10).
- Accepted video formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv, with a maximum file size of 3072MB (3 GB).
- Use at least HD quality and ensure a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.
Poster Presenter Instructions:
Poster Dimensions
Posters must be 36 in x 48 in (91.4 cm x 121.9 cm) or smaller.
Poster presenters are responsible for bringing their poster to the conference. Push pins will be provided on-site at registration and/or in the poster area for you to put up your poster. Please note that venue staff may not be able to assist you in putting up your poster.
Presentation Set-Up and Tear-Down:
Poster Set-Up: Friday, November 15 from 8:00am – 5:00pm
Poster Tear-Down: Saturday, November 16 from 8:00am – 5:00pm
- The author's name and title should be visible on each poster.
- make yourself available during lunch time and breaks for viewers
Authorizations/Legal Aspects:
- Ensure patients appearing in the video are not recognizable. If a patient's face is visible, add a black square over the eyes.
- The video should not serve as commercial promotion for companies. Aim for a neutral presentation, but brand names may be visible.
- Obtain permission from the copyright holder when using work from other authors, such as schematic drawings.
